PREA Training (Prison Rape Elimination Act) -
The NC Department of Corrections is committed to a zero-tolerance of sexual assault/misconduct by staff, community volunteers, employers, or inmates. In order to meet this commitment all persons coming in contact with the inmate population must be trained on the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA).
o Facility Orientation/PREA Training is MANDATORY in order to volunteer in North Carolina prisons.
o Each facility may provide its own Facility Orientation.
o Training Location: Caswell Correctional (Yanceyville)/Dan River Prison Work Farm (Blanch), 444 County Home Road, Blanch, NC 27212
Will have to go through metal detectors. Be mindful of jewelry. Cannot bring in cell phones.
